Samurai sword. How do I sharpen a replica?

Hi there,

I have a set of replica Samurai Swords and they say stainless steel on them. They are quite blunt. I am wanting to sharpen them. I was just wondering how i would go about doing this. I have a Knife Sharpener but this is only for kitchen Knifes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

cheers.

it’s been commented but this type of blade will not hold an edge. and when they break the pieces fly everywhere, which is why you shouldn’t put stress on these. (somebodys’ going to be in a lot of pain)

On that note if you want it sharp for looks… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gRzQtagagi8 get a sharpening stone. a japanese sword sharpener would go through something like 15 grade of sharpening stone, and the sharpening stone is like $5-$10 on amazon.
