The Boot Knife
Typically a boot knife is referred to as a small fixed-blade knife that can be concealed inside someone’s boot. They can also be carried on a persons belt or underneath the pants leg.
Boot knives can even be worn around the neck by implementing some type of beaded chain, a laniard or a paracord. Knifes worn around the neck are appropriately called a Neck Knife. Most come with a sheath that can have clips on them.
Boot knives also typically come with double-edges, and the smaller blades generally ranging from 3 to 5 inches in length. A boot knife is also referred to as a gamblers dagger.
Boot knives can also carry with them a myriad of legal issues, where certain factors are most likely to cause legal troubles in different state and county jurisdictions. There are many regions which prohibit the carrying or concealment of fixed-blade or double-edge knives. And, since most boot knives usually fit all three categories, carrying a boot-knife would more than likely be considered illegal in these particular areas.
