Best Knife Sharpener

Posted by admin on February 12, 2010

I’m looking for a good, inexpensive Knife Sharpener. Any ideas??

Buy yourself a sharpening stone from a kitchen store. They’re usually labeled as Japanese sharpening stones. You soak it in water, then run your knives at a 30 degree angle across the stone to sharpen. Be sure to sharpen both sides.

Use a sharpening steel in between to keep the knives free of any small chinks, to keep them smooth. Never use an electric sharpener, they’re crap. I think the stones cost about $15.
